Dato’ DR. SIRAJUDDIN BIN SUHAIMEE
An alumnus of National University of Malaysia (UKM) received his Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Syariah) in 1991 and a degree of Master of Science in Information Technology from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2001. He then pursued his study at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and then at University of South Australia (UniSA), where he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in 2008. Joined the public service in January 1992 as an Assistant Director at the Selangor Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JAIS). He then served at various divisions in JAIS including District Religious Office in Klang. He became the first Halal Attache at The High Commission for Malaysia in Canberra, Australia in Mac 2008. Prior to complete his 6 years mission in Australia, he return back to Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) as Senior Principal Assistant Director in 2014 and then as the Director in 2016. Current position as the Senior Director for Research Division, JAKIM with various experiences in domestic and international level, for example in Capacity development program with Halal Certification Bodies globally. Involved in numbers of international halal seminars, conferences and workshops around the globe sharing the Malaysian experiences on Halal.
